Commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

Objectives: 
The debate will be aimed at: 
  • Assessing the situation of global youth and the role of youth in combatting racial discrimination and fostering dialogue and intergroup relations;
  • Assessing the prevalence of intersecting forms of discrimination that can affect youth, including youth of African descent; and
  • Taking stock of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education, development and empowerment of youth and children, in particular of African descent, with a focus on racial discrimination-
